Como puede ser que la licencia de la versión 11 cueste 54€, y las versiones anteriores 180€ la versión pro.
He visto la web, pero no veo donde se compra la nueva licencia. Ni que tipo de licencias habra.

Durante su presentación Joost indicó que el “upgrade” de la versión pro va a costar €45 y la versión standard €25.
El upgrade sera gratis si has comprado PTGui después de 1ero de Junio 2015.

Es decir, todo el que compro una licencia posterior a esa fecha recibirá el upgrade sin pagar nada adicional. Curioso este punto ciertamente.

De hecho, desde la solicitud de update directamente desde la aplicación, no muestra el update e indica que la versión esta al dia sin actualizaciones disponibles.
Ya se anunció en KAMARADAS que llegarían cambios en PTGui en la conferencia anual IVRPA 2017 en Viena…

El foro de PTGui Support, está de lo más animado.
La gente que está probando la nueva versión PTGui 11, verdaderamente está constatando que se trata de una BETA… se están reportanto problemas de todo tipo:
Al abrir un proyecto antiguo (v10), algunas imágenes de la pestaña “Source Images” (y en otras fichas también) se visualizan con un icono de imagen faltante blanco/azul, aunque las imágenes si están.
La primera vez que ejecutamos V.11, se muestra una ventana con el mensaje “Auto Setting” para la Cámara y la Lente, que podemos aceptar o no.
Acepté, pero ahora el CROP automático que realiza PTGui es mucho menor… ¿Hay una manera de borrar la nueva configuración del objetivo?
En fin, estamos ante una BETA!!!
Hola. Claro que es una Beta. El mismo nombre en la página web de descarga lo indica PTGui 11 beta. No se donde está la confusión.
Lo que si que es verdad es que, por los bugs que se están reportando en el foro oficial es una beta bastante temprana y bastante verde. Los mismos desarrolladores lo han advertido. De ahí que permitan una instalación paralela entre la v10 y la v11beta. Para mí que no les ha dado tiempo de desarrollar todo lo que querían antes de las conferencias del IVRPA, pero como lo querían presentar en las mismas, pues lo han sacado tal y como está y ya irán arreglando cosas.
Se están reportando problemas de todo tipo y en todos los sistemas (PC/Mac). Hay gente que les va bien, a otros muy lento, errores con el HDR, con los puntos de control, carga de imágenes, etc. Por eso digo que está un poco verdecita. Esperemos que una vez que acaben las conferencias, se pongan las pilas y la tengamos pronto.
Respecto al precio, no hay ninguna novedad al respecto por ser la versión 11 y continua siendo el mismo tipo de licencia. Es decir, si eres usuario registrado pagas 45 euros (en caso de España) y tienes derecho a todas las actualizaciones que salgan durante un año y a todas las betas.
Si se acaba el año y no renuevas la licencia, puedes seguir utilizando el programa, pero no puedes actualizarlo hasta que no vuelvas a pagar. Lo que han hecho con la beta es poner una fecha de suscripción de dos años atrás en vez de uno. Eso es todo. Nada ha cambiado.
Si eres un usuario nuevo, pagas el programa completo y dentro de un año, si quieres seguir teniendo soporte y acceso a actualizaciones y beta tendrás que volver a pagar.

Dig, tiene razón. La palabra Beta, esta al comienzo de esta conversación.
También quiero aclarar que PTGui es desarrollado por una sola persona, no es un equipo, es solamente Joost Nieuwenhuijse. Si se nota que después de tanto años publicando solo pequeñas mejoras y no hacer los cambios importantes que todos los fotógrafos han estado solicitando por mucho tiempo, Joost ha sacado finalmente esta versión con el apuro de la conferencia de la ivrpa. El explicó que gran parte de la versión 11 ha sido reescrita desde cero, y claro esto debe ser probado y probado, y allí está el Beta para eso.

@Dig, la confusion la he encontrado en algunos comentarios…
Tal y como has comentado, los errores que están apareciendo son importantes, luego no puedo entender que sea un version estable y funcional y evidentemente no puede ser una versión definitiva.
Yo Esperaré a la versión definitiva, además hoy Joost ja me ha confirmado que yo la tendré gratis.

La versión es beta, claro q si, pero es funcional a medida q no de fallos, a mi ninguno por el momento, pero seguramente saldrá muy pronto una versión más estable.
Yo ya he pagado por PTgui 11 y espero las actualizaciones a medida q salgan…

He probado ésta versión Beta y me preocupa la cantidad de recursos de memoria que necesita a medida que vas trabajado con el programa y te ralentiza muchísimo el trabajo.
Es cuestión de paciencia.

La verdad, para ser Beta, la veo muy bien, un poco pesada a la hora de hacer las pegas pero no me afectó el trabajo. Creo que el manejo del HDR mejoró full.

Para los interesado, ya está disponible la versión 11 beta3 de PTGui.
Se han corregido numerosos fallos reportados por los beta tester y añadido el soporte para alguna de los nuevos objetivos aparecidos en el mercado, como el Nikon AF-S Fisheye - Nikkor 8-15mm f/3.5 - 4.5E ED.

Redesigned memory management, to improve stability and performance
If multiple temporary folders are configured, PTGui will now attempt to use all folders in a balanced way. This improves performance (similar to RAID 0) when stitching panoramas using 2 or more SSD drives for temporary storage. Previously it would store temporary files on the drive with the most space available.
Any temporary files created by PTGui are guaranteed to be removed after closing PTGui. Previously temp files would not be removed if PTGui crashed or was forcefully closed.
Temporary data is now written to disk in a few large files instead of many small ones, improving performance.
Windows: if a progress window is being shown (‘please wait…’), the menu bar is still accessible. A new PTGui window can be opened via File - New Launch New Instance even when PTGui is busy.
Better error message when attempting to level a panorama consisting of a single source image (levelling requires 2 or more source images).
Some Fujifilm cameras (incorrectly) record a focal length of 50mm in the EXIF data when a manual lens is used. PTGui identifies and corrects this.
If the Camera Sensor Size and Focal Length dialogs (which pop up when EXIF data is not available when adding a new image to a project) are canceled, the image is still added to the project. This is the same behavior as in PTGui 10.

Faster scrolling when clicking in a scrollbar outside the thumb
EXR output: the compression algorithm and bit depth (32 bit full float or 16 bit half float) are now configurable
If stitching is canceled, or aborted due to an error, all incomplete output files will be deleted. Previously PTGui would leave unfinished corrupt files, potentially causing other applications to crash if they attempted to load the corrupt file.
Panorama Editor & Detail Viewer: added keyboard shortcut keys [B] [U] and [S] to switch to the Blended, Unblended and Seams preview, and shortcut [N] to toggle displaying of image numbers
After placing the first marker of a control point, the marker can be moved using the cursor keys
When placing the second marker of a control point, the magnifier for the first point will remain visible

Fixed: External blenders (smartblend, enblend) would be run without the ‘wrap 360 degree’ flag even though the panorama had 360 degrees field of view
